It was only last April that we introduced Heirloom Bouquets to Ireland, and they have gripped the nation for their sentimentality and stunning appearance. There are many variations now of the original Brooch Bouquet which was designed entirely from old vintage brooches passed down through generations, pieces of maybe grandmothers or mothers dresses were incorporated into the handles also and some brides even included replicas of their engagement rings and presents from their grooms over the years.
Some brides found it more and more difficult to have enough heirloom pieces to include and so purchased their own brooches to design their bouquet. Each Bouquet consists of approx 26 – 30 brooches.
To reduce the cost of the bouquet silk or foam flowers can be incorporated into the bouquet, however as we source all our brooches wholesale and in large quantities we only include high quality brooches in our classes.
During our workshop you will be supplied with all the materials needed to design your own bouquet, you will be taught step by step how to assemble it and will be provided with full comprehensive notes on the assembly process. You will also be provided with all the details of sourcing brooches and sundries needed to complete these bouquets should you decide to offer this service as a business yourself.
At you workshop you will be shown how to use the skills you have just learnt to design bouquets and buttonholes using other materials (sea shells, buttons, etc) and will be able to see sample of these type of bouquets and take photos of them
A full brooch bouquet would retail in the region of €400 - €800 depending on the brooches used.
A Vintage Heirloom Brooch Bouquet Workshop with us costs €350.
We have set dates for these classes, but you also have the option to work with one of our tutors on a 1-2-1 basis at a time that suits you. This takes approx 3hrs and costs €350.
