MODULE 3 COMMERCIAL BRIDAL FLORISTRY

4-DAY INTENSIVE COMMERCIAL BRIDAL FLORISTRY COURSE

We recommend all students to have completed Module 1 before commencing this course.

This course is for students who want to compete on a professional level in wedding floristry and pursue a career in the floral business. Students are provided with step-by-step instructions for each design and an itemized list of flowers to use in the most popular bridal bouquets. Kay's offer a full back up service by phone or email to our past students.


This course starts with an introduction to bridal floristry. Students are issued with detailed instructions for all their designs on how to cost an individual bouquet, what quantity of flowers and materials to use and how to deal with a brides enquiry. Students learn how to have confidence in dealing a brides wedding order and m
ost importantly they are advised how much to charge their customers and provided with information on choosing the essential materials. All students are supplied with a list of wholesalers to purchase materials for their wedding orders.

Students receive hands on instruction on, Buttonholes, Corsages, Pew Bows, Hand-Tied Bouquet, A Traditional Shower/Teardrop Bouquet and A Contemporary/Funky Bouquet. Time permitting your tutor will demonstrate and give detail instructions on how to make the subsequent designs. A Flower girls basket, floral hoop, pomander, ring cushion, side comb and halo head-dress, brides or bridesmaids Horseshoe/Crescent Bouquet and a single rose in cello. At Kay's we cover wired bouquets, Oasis holders and the Hand-Tied method of assembly.

WHAT IS COMMERCIAL BRIDAL FLORISTRY?


With Bridal Floristry you need to be able to suggest ideas to the Bride for the shape of her bouquet and the type of flowers that will compliment her dress. You must be able to work out how many flowers are needed for each design, make a shopping lists for your wholesaler and know approximately how much material you need and how much it will cost to buy flowers for a wedding and how to treat specific flowers like Roses, Orchids, Gerberas and Lilies etc.


At Kay's students are provided with instructions for each design and an itemized list of materials needed for the most popular wedding flower designs. They are taught how to sell themselves and how to design a wedding price list and have the confidence and knowledge to take on a Bride's Wedding order.
