Master Class in Hand-Tied Bouquets

Back to the

Hand tied bouquets are flowers specially arranged to make a lasting impression. Ready to be placed straight in the vase, however as they are made in their own Aqua Pack, these bouquets can be free standing requiring very little maintenance
Hand-tied bouquets are ideal for any occasion, be it Birthdays, Anniversary, New Baby, Thank you or Condolences.

Why do I need to know how to make Hand-Tied Bouquets?
Hand-Tied bouquets are without doubt one of the most requested bouquet for special occasions.  In order to maximise your retail sales or employment potential, it is vital that you master the technique of Hand- Tied Bouquets in Aqua Packs

What do I need to bring with me?

  • All your flowers, foliage and sundries are supplied throughout the course.  All designs you make are yours to bring home with you to either admire, sell or used to promote yourself.
  • You will need to purchase a Florist Scissors to work with at home, this is an essential tool of the trade. Florist Scissors are available to purchase at the school
  • You are advised to bring a Camera with you in order to photograph the step by step points of your designs, also any extra designs demonstrated by your tutor.
  • You should also photograph your fellow students arrangements as you may all not be working with the same type of flowers or foliage (when possible we endeavour to provide a selection of flowers/foliage in order for students to see the same arrangement made with different ingredient)
  • You will be provided with comprehensive notes throughout the course, we advise you bring a folder with plastic sleeves to place these notes in to keep them in order. They will be of huge assistance throughout your floristry career.
  • Kay’s provides light refreshments during your course, we do advise you to bring a packed lunch with you, or there is a local coffee shop to purchase lunch.
  • You should also bring a notebook and pen/pencil to take notes throughout

What should I wear?

  • As flowers need to be kept cool, we do advise you to wear warm clothes in layers as you will find throughout the day you will get quite warm when working.
  • We also advise you wear casual clothing as flowers can be messy & wet.
  • You may be standing at times throughout the course so comfortable low heal shoes are advised.
