AND CHURCH DECORATION COURSE

Make your Bridal Floristry Skills to the next level.  Be in the position to offer your clients that something different, making you as a florist stand out.
During this course you will get the opportunity to work with an amazing selection of the more usual flowers. You will have the ability to suggest ideas to your Bride regarding the shape and design of her wedding bouquet, the type of flowers she should choose to compliment her dress and wedding theme.

Who is this course suitable for?
This is advanced floristry and is only suitable to students whom have already completed Module 1 & Module 3 or equivalent.
This course is also very popular amongst existing florists working within the industry who wish to up-skill or refresh their skills with wired bouquets.

What is covered on this course?

  • Large waterfall cascading wired wedding bouquets.
  • Floral Pew Display
  • Unity Alter Candle Arrangement
  • Church Candelabra Displays
  • Demonstration of a 4-5 ft. Church/ Hotel Pedestal Arrangement
  • Topiary Trees
  • Halo Flower girl Head-dress (wired)
  • Demonstration Horseshoe Bouquet
  • Demonstration Crescent Bouquet
  • Demonstration Hogarth Curve Bouquet
  • Advanced Contemporary Wedding Displays
  • Demonstration of Church, Hotel  & Reception Arrangements

Students will be provided with comprehensive step by step notes guiding you through the process of construction of each design.
Included in these notes are the itemised list of all materials needed for each design, how to cost each design and the selling price you would expect to receive for each design.
You will be guided through a “Mock Wedding” and be taught

  • How to work out the flowers you need to buy in
  • When you need to buy specific flowers in (different time frame for different flowers)
  • How to cost  the entire wedding
  • Recommended selling price

And lots of other tips and advice when preparing and completing & delivering you wedding flowers
If you already have a wedding booked in, our tutors will be delighted to assist and guide you through it and advise you on all of the above points for your wedding booking.

  • What do I need to bring with me?
All your flowers, foliage and sundries are supplied throughout the course.  All designs you make are yours to bring home with you to either admire, sell or used to promote yourself.

  • You will need to purchase a Florist Scissors to work with at home, this is an essential tool of the trade. (Florist Scissors are available to purchase at the school)

  • You are advised to bring a Camera with you in order to photograph the step by step points of your designs, also any extra designs demonstrated by your tutor.

  • You should also photograph your fellow students arrangements as you may all not be working with the same type of flowers or foliage (when possible we endeavour to provide a selection of flowers/foliage in order for students to see the same arrangement made with different ingredient)

  • You will be provided with comprehensive notes throughout the course, we advise you bring a folder with plastic sleeves to place these notes in to keep them in order.
You should also bring a notebook and pen/pencil to take notes throughout
  • What should I wear?
As flowers need to be kept cool, we do advise you to wear warm clothes in layers as you will find throughout the day you will get quite warm when working.
We also advise you wear casual clothing as flowers can be messy & wet.
You may be standing at times throughout the course so comfortable low heal shoes are advised.
