Students are asked: If you've attended a Flower Arranging Course in the past, how did you feel this course compared to it?

Hello Girls,

Well I got through my first wedding flowers last week and I am thrilled with myself. It was very hard work on my own but worth it. I had 4 altar arrangements, one large under-altar arrangement. Bridal candle, 4 posies, 2 window arrangements. two stands at altar. two twig displays inside door. One Bridal bouquet, four bridesmaids bouquets, nine buttonholes, two corsages. Had to dress bay trees and make twenty four seat bows. I was exhausted and I attended wedding also. Thanks again for your tuition. Mary Boylan

Mary that was a fantastic achievement and well done

Comment from Facebook: I trained at Kay's school and enjoyed every minute of it. Janet and Kay have their training to a fine art and set me on the road to a career and business that I love and they are always available for advice if needed. Keep up the great work guys....xx Carol

FLORIST: 48 Ashe Street, Tralee. Phone: 086 0876321. Hi Janet, thank you for your advice. I just want to thank yourself and Kay for all your help. I am signing the lease next week and its so exciting....people are telling me that I'm mad with the economy the way it is but I'm going to give it a go anyway!! Just wondering if you could advertise for a part-time florist position on your website? I would really like to get someone who has trained with Kay’s so that we are on the same wavelength. Once again 'thank you' both for everything. I would not have learnt working for 10 years in a shop what I learnt at the courses.(It was worth all the stress of being away from home!!!) They were a great grounding for me and have given me the confidence to follow my dream. Carrie

presented at the wedding fair earlier this month. http://budsandberries.com/blog/?page_id=149
We are so proud of what we have achieved since last June given the hard times we are in. Thanks again for all of the encouragement and  support and I will see you on one of the courses later this year please  god.

Angie - Co Clare: Having attended a number of courses in the past including the FETAC course, they pale in comparison to what you gain from Janette & Kay.  Every aspect of floristry is covered in detail, everyone gets loads of beneficial information, individual attention, its hugely enjoyable and most important no-one is made feel stupid, in fact  your confidence goes through the roof. Excellent course for all be it just starting out, or like me, decide on a career change later on in life - Janette and Kay will definitely set you on the right track

I did a floristry course. the ones in the colleges make you use the same flowers for two weeks running... I did a course with Kay's School of Floristry in Rialto... Janette is brilliant.. she's a florist and knows the game inside out.. knows the best wholesalers and all the tricks of the trade... its a bit pricey the course are split up into general/wedding/xmas/funerals.. here's the website.
